The conversation

The body starts sounding the alarm, and you carry on as if nothing is happening. Gili tells how hot flashes, migraines and a period that stopped swept over her with no medical reason behind them, and in the middle of all that a lump in her breast turned up too. She says that the moment she understood how many of other people's needs she had been putting ahead of her own, most of the symptoms disappeared almost immediately. All except the lump, which, the way she sees it, stayed another three months, like a reminder. She also tells why the visit to the doctor felt like slapping on a band-aid, and what finally helped her listen to her body before it starts shouting.

The truth

  • A small thought that settles into a feeling can show up in the body itself. For her it went as far as hot flashes, migraines and a period that stopped, with no medical reason ever found for it.

  • The moment she understood that she had been swept into a collective expectation instead of anything of her own, most of the symptoms disappeared almost immediately, but the lump in her breast stayed another three months, as if it had been left there on purpose, the way she felt it, as a warning gauge.

  • A visit to the gynecologist came down to "you're at that age, take a pill, everything will be fine". That's exactly the answer that worries her, because handing someone a solution for the rest of their life without asking why it happened in the first place is not healing.

  • What you see, hear and talk about goes into your consciousness and later takes shape in the body, which is why it matters so much who you let into your head.

Questions and answers

Why did it take me three months to understand what my body was trying to tell me when I found the lump in my breast?

The lump stayed in the body as a barometer. It wasn't there because she had failed to understand something. The moment Gili grasped how much other people's consciousness and the expectations placed on women had affected her physically, all the symptoms that came with it vanished right away. But the Creator left her the lump so that she would learn to catch herself every single time she reacted out of victimhood and people-pleasing instead of out of loyalty to herself, until she focused on what she herself wanted and the lump disappeared.

I found a lump in my breast and the doctor said it's because of my age. Why do I have hot flashes?

In the theory Gili learned from her own master teacher, hot flashes are all of a woman's sexual energy and juice that never found expression, whether because she hid it or because she was ashamed of it, since it isn't considered acceptable, and that eruption comes out as what gets called menopause.

What does it mean that my doctor offered me pills and hormones instead of dealing with the lump I found?

Gili understood how deeply many women at 40 take in what the collective consciousness expects of them, all the way down to the body. Without the awareness that there is something here beyond matter, she too would have ended up in a loop of the wrong diagnosis and pills that cover up something that never came from a real medical problem in the first place.

Gili's original episode description

In the ninth episode, Gili and Tal take apart collective consciousness to understand how it affects us, right down to the level of the cell.

Gili shares a fascinating personal story that lights up the real meaning of the link between the individual and the collective.

And as always, there are tips on how to stay tuned in to ourselves and hold on to our own truth, even when collective consciousness is trying to steer us in a different direction.
