The conversation

How many times have you blamed your parents, your teachers, the government, and still nothing really changed? Gili Man Wolner has a different approach: what you see outside is a reflection of what's happening inside, like a crystal stone that shows a different color from every angle you look at it. That means the clearing you have to do is always directed at yourself, even when it seems like the problem belongs to somebody else. And when things are hard, that isn't a punishment, it's an opportunity for repair.

The truth

  • The Crystal Eye method (*Ein HaBedolach*) rests on the idea that outer reality is a reflection of the inside, and that there is no objective reality separate from us.

  • She really connected to it years later, through a digital course by Rabbi Yuval Sharov on the site BeSod HaDvarim, a 45 shekel subscription you can cancel at any moment.

  • The name crystal stone comes from the way the stone shows a different color from every angle, a metaphor for a reality that changes depending on who's looking at it.

  • In the clearing process you clear only yourself and not the person across from you, even when it looks like the problem is theirs.

  • The rice experiment makes it concrete: the jar that was cursed rots, and the one that was blessed stays fresh.

  • Hardships and problems in life are understood as an opportunity for repair and not as a punishment.

Questions and answers

What is the Crystal Eye, when you've tried to fix everything on the outside and nothing has moved?

It's an approach that explains that the reality you see outside is a reflection of what's happening inside, exactly like a crystal stone, where every angle you look at it from shows you different colors. The idea is that there is no objective reality separate from us. The outer world is created out of our own inner perceptions.

Who's behind the method?

Rabbi Yuval Sharov, who started out in healing the body and clearing toxins through nutrition, and slowly discovered that this whole body of teaching already appears in the Jewish writings, in Baal HaSulam, the Rambam, the Baal Shem Tov and other kabbalistic rabbis, and he gathered it into one organized method.

Do I have to be religious for this method to work on me?

No. The method is based on Jewish sources but it doesn't require religion or any faith in advance, and anyone can stay with their own secular definition of themselves and still use the tools it offers.

What does it mean to clear me in this process? Who exactly is being cleared here?

You clear only yourself, not the person across from you, even when it looks like the problem is theirs. They're only reflecting back something you need to work on inside, so the whole clearing is directed at what's within us and not at anyone else.

I've done so much to fix the situation from the outside and it didn't help at all. Is there any point in expecting this clearing to change anything?

No. The clearing is done without expectations of an outer result. You do it because it's the right thing to do, and the good feeling it gives you already counts as a result in its own right.

Life is hard for me. Is this a punishment for something?

No. According to this approach the Creator doesn't test anyone beyond what they can bear, and any problem that arrives is help in the process of repair, not a punishment.

What do you do when you feel stuck and can't see any way to solve the problem?

According to this approach every problem has a solution, but you can't find it on the same plane the problem is on. You have to turn to the Creator and ask for a hint, instead of staying stuck in analyzing the problem itself.
